Generating innovations and ideas

HISTORY

The Promosurf working group was originally formed by members of the French-speaking VOM. Its focus was to generate ideas and activities for our association in Wallonia. Since 2023, the group  also focusses on Flanders to promote interregional cooperation and strengthen collective impact.

OBJECTIVE

Promosurf actively works to provide relevant and rewarding events for VOM members and all interested parties.

The main aim is to share knowledge and exchange ideas on important topics such as innovations, process improvements and environmentally relevant topics without focusing on one specific surface treatment. The activities always focus on progress and sustainable development for our industry.

NEWS

On 25 September, the Promosurf working group at KU Leuven organised a seminar on non-destructive testing (NDT).
The day brought together numerous participants around the methods, trends, and practical applications of NDT within surface technology.


And who can describe the experience better than the participants themselves?
They praised the quality of the presentations, the diversity of the speakers, the good balance between theory and practice, and the visit to the KU Leuven laboratory, which was especially appreciated.
Frequently heard comments included “the richness of the discussions” and “the relevance of the topics addressed.”


Promosurf is already looking forward to welcoming everyone again on the third Thursday of September 2026 for the next study day!
