Generating innovations and ideas

HISTORY

The Promosurf working group was originally formed by members of the French-speaking VOM. Its focus was to generate ideas and activities for our association in Wallonia. Since 2023, the group  also focusses on Flanders to promote interregional cooperation and strengthen collective impact.

OBJECTIVE

Promosurf actively works to provide relevant and rewarding events for VOM members and all interested parties.

The main aim is to share knowledge and exchange ideas on important topics such as innovations, process improvements and environmentally relevant topics without focusing on one specific surface treatment. The activities always focus on progress and sustainable development for our industry.

Featured Update – June 2026

PROMOSURF SEMINAR | 2026: Protective Coatings and Cathodic Protection for Steel Structures in Soil & Aquatic Environments

The Promosurf Working Group is continuing the preparation of its annual seminar, which will take place on 24 September 2026.

The selected theme – which will also be featured in the December edition of VOMinfo – focuses on protective coatings and cathodic protection. Given the broad scope of the topic, the seminar will specifically address applications in underground and aquatic environments.
