Useful list of all uses of PFAS in industry
Europe is actively working on a restriction policy on PFAS. European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published an interesting list in March 2026 with all the uses of PFAS across industrial sectors.
You find a description of the (sub-)uses and applications that have specifically been assessed by SEAC. A first SEAC assessment (highlighted in orange) has been added.
Surface treatment and coatings are also not spared from potential restriction measures. Is your company affected by the planned restriction policy? Then VOM advises submitting comments on the proposal by 26/05! Alternatively, you can start looking for PFAS-free alternatives.
