ECHA was mandated by the EU Commission to develop draft restrictions on chromium trioxide. This means that chromium trioxide is to be removed from the authorization requirement (REACH Annex XIV) and instead be restricted (REACH Annex XVII).
As a first step, stakeholders have the opportunity to provide information to ECHA until February 13, 2024. For this purpose, a “call for evidence” (cfe, https://echa.europa.eu/de/calls-for-comments-and-evidence/-/substance-rev/75309/term) was set up.
