Surventis launches as an independent leader in surface treatment and coatings
As of 1 July 2026, Surventis – formerly BASF Coatings (including Chemetall) – begins a new chapter as an independent company, backed by the global investment firm Carlyle.
After more than 130 years in the coatings industry, the company is embarking on a new journey with a clear ambition: to become the leading company in coating technologies and help customers move forward.
BASF retains a 40% stake in the company, demonstrating its continued confidence in Surventis’ team, performance, and the value it creates for customers.
