VOM and Moore confirm partnership
As a multidisciplinary partner, Moore will support VOM members in developing and implementing their sustainability strategies, in line with the European Clean Industrial Deal and CO₂ emission reduction objectives. Initially, members can expect support in preparing a sustainability report and access to a CO₂ calculation tool specifically tailored to the surface treatment sector. In the future, additional topics such as digitalisation, subsidies and artificial intelligence may also be addressed.
The objective of this partnership is to help members successfully navigate the sustainability transition, comply with regulatory requirements and respond to increasing customer expectations. The initiative focuses on two complementary pillars:
Knowledge transfer through a training programme leading to a first sustainability report based on the voluntary VSME reporting standard, helping companies gradually integrate sustainability into their business operations;The development of a common sector-specific tool to calculate the carbon footprint of VOM members. This practical approach will enable members to embrace sustainability in a straightforward and accessible way.
Immediate value for VOM members
- Valuable information for stakeholders such as customers, suppliers and employees, which can be used in both internal and external communication;
- A clear picture of their current sustainability performance, helping them identify existing efforts and opportunities for further improvement.
Added value for VOM and Moore
- Better insight into the priorities and support needs of members regarding energy, materials, water, waste and other sustainability topics;
- Practical insights that can be incorporated into the development of the common carbon footprint calculation tool.
