VOM ON TOUR 2026 – First stop at the heart of aerospace technology
Following the success of previous editions, VOM ON TOUR hits the road again in 2026 for a new series of three exclusive visits to leading companies in the field of surface treatment.
The first stop takes us to Wallonia, where we will have the pleasure of being welcomed by Safran Blades, a brand-new, recently inaugurated production site specialized in manufacturing compressor blades for aircraft engines.
Safran Blades will host a dedicated conference on digitalisation, a field in which the company stands out through highly innovative approaches.
The visit will continue with the discovery of the 10,000 m² centre of excellence, developed on a fully rehabilitated former steelmaking site. This facility integrates Safran’s best industrial technologies to meet the highest global standards.
Combining automation, highly skilled personnel and cutting-edge digital technologies, this Industry 4.0 plant will produce more than 2,000 compressor blades per day, while ensuring innovative, autonomous and real-time quality control at every critical stage of the manufacturing process.
