Young VOM visits Aperam in Genk, a world player in stainless steel!
The production company in Genk has a high-performance steel plant and a modern cold rolling mill for the production of stainless steel sheets and coils for industrial applications and niche products. It employs over 1,200 people.
Recently, Aperam Genk commissioned 2 new, modern production lines in the cold rolling mill and invested in one of the largest solar parks in Belgium. Furthermore, another new converter is planned at the steel plant. Thus, Aperam Genk stands for innovation, continuous improvement, safety, environmental friendliness, reliability, punctuality and flexibility.
The visit includes a general introduction and the visit to the 2 newest production lines where we cold roll and anneal and pickle the material.
