Even for the future in the well-known and quite conservative coatings industry, innovation is essential in order to survive on the long term. Obviously innovations can be obtained with new chemistry or physics in both binders, additives as well as production, application and curing. However, this can also be realized by speeding up the complicated long lasting formulation work to select the proper composition of the paint and thus fulfilling all required performances. Presentations will be covering innovation in the past and future, innovation by speeding up research, recently implemented innovations and true innovations from academia.
