VOM and Moore confirm their partnership

The future is sustainable, but also complex.

To safeguard the competitiveness of the surface treatment industry in Europe, VOM and Moore are reaffirming their partnership.

As a multidisciplinary partner, Moore will support VOM members in developing and implementing their sustainability strategies, in line with the European Clean Industrial Deal and CO₂ reduction objectives. Initially, members will receive support in preparing a sustainability report and gain access to a CO₂ calculation tool specifically tailored to surface treatment activities. Other topics such as digitalisation, subsidies, artificial intelligence, and more may also be addressed.

The objective of this partnership is to help members successfully navigate the transition towards greater sustainability, comply with regulatory requirements, and respond to increasing customer expectations. On the one hand, the initiative focuses on knowledge transfer through a training programme leading to the preparation of a first sustainability report, based on the voluntary VSME reporting standard. This will help companies gradually integrate sustainability into their daily operations. On the other hand, it includes the development of a common tool for calculating the carbon footprint of VOM members.

This approach enables companies to engage in sustainability in the simplest and most practical way possible. The benefits include:
