Fraunhofer IPA seeks SMEs for the “pAInt-Behaviour” research project
Under the IraSME funding programme, German research and development institute Fraunhofer IPA Surfaces & Materials, together with German partner AOM Systems, has developed a project concept for automated process monitoring in spray booths for both powder and liquid coatings.
The project combines laser measurements with artificial intelligence to link measurement results to the coating process and feed this information back to the application equipment, including robots, reciprocators and spray guns.
Are you a Flemish or Walloon SME specialising in AI tools, simulation and programming, or in liquid painting and/or powder coating? Would you like to become an active partner in this project? Contact Dr Oliver Tiedje at Fraunhofer IPA by email: oliver.tiedje@ipa.fraunhofer.de.
Act quickly: the deadline for submitting the project proposal is 30 September 2026!
